New York State Empire Zone Benefits
Empire Zone Benefits give growing companies the opportunity to operate on a virtually “tax-free” basis for up to ten years. Any business located at BAT may apply for certification as a Qualified Empire Zone Enterprise and may then become eligible for various tax credits, such as employment, investment, real property, sales and wage tax credits.
In addition, Qualified Empire Zone Enterprises may be eligible for exemption from New York State sales tax and discounted utility costs.
